Building Size Qualification: 5+ units
 
Income Qualifications: 66% of the dwelling units are occupied by a family unit whose income is at or below 80% of AMI or 200% of the poverty level.  
 
Priority and Ranking: Priority is given to properties that house residents over 60, persons with disabilities, families with children, high-energy-using units, and units with a high energy burden.

ICAST (International Center for Appropriate and Sustainable Technology) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social enterprise with a history of designing and launching programs to meaningfully impact communities and provide sustainable resource solutions.

PURPOSE OF REQUEST FOR APPLICATION (RFA): This RFA aims to identify eligible multifamily properties through qualification to provide energy conservation and health and safety renovation services within the state of New Mexico for New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority and implemented by ICAST. Work will be performed in multifamily units for the New Mexico Energy$mart Multifamily Weatherization Assistance Program commencing Q4, 2023 and ending Q3, 2024.

Weatherization Services Provided Can Include: 
WAP work includes but is not limited to, the installation of attic, wall, and floor insulation; replacement and/or repair of Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, including central systems and ductwork; exhaust fans, central and vented wall furnaces, removal of unvented space heaters venting items to code; removal and replacement of window A/C units; replacement of refrigerators; gas stoves and water heaters; replacement and/or repair of windows, doors or storm windows; installation of solar screens; weather-stripping, caulking, and other air infiltration reduction measures, digital thermostats, smoke, and carbon monoxide (CO) detector installation, etc.
